Attention Southside Leadership!!!

On Saturday, February 4th, our church leadership is gathering in the Family Life Center at 9:00 a.m. for a day of learning, fun, and inspiration.  

This is what we will learn:
  1. The principles of effective church leadership
  2. How all the various committees and organizations in our congregation can work together,
  3. The role and function of each leadership position (especially the one for which you have volunteered!)
  4. The goals of our congregation in 2012.

We are also going to have fun.  Really!  We believe that church leadership isn't truly effective without humor and joy.  So part of our task will simply be to get to know each other and enjoy each persons gifts and talents.  So we will let our hair down a bit. 

But even more than that, we want you to leave our meeting feeling inspired.  We believe that God is "leading us to lead."  By ourselves, we can't do much for the cause of Christ in our community.  But when the Holy Spirit moves within us . . . Wow!  Wonderful things are going to happen.

 Food will be plentiful, refreshments will abound, and lunch will be served at noon when we finish.

 It's gonna be a great day!!!
