Frequently Asked Questions about submitting a prayer request

 The following are some of the most asked questions regarding prayer requests:

Q:  How to I submit a request?

A:  Either complete the on-line prayer request form, a prayer request form located outside the church office and in the holders on the back of the pews in the sanctuary or by calling the church office at 396-2676 and a volunteer will complete the request for you.

Q:  What information do I have to provide?

A:  Complete as much of the form as you feel comfortable and are able to share.

Q:  Who will see my request?

A:  The Ministry Leader reviews each request and shares only the information you indicate with the prayer team.

Q:  Who are the members of the prayer team?

A:  The Prayer Team is made up of members of Southside UMC who have responded to God's call to be intercessors.  Each member has met with both Pastors and the Ministry Leader and understands the importance of privacy with prayer requests.  If you are interested in being trained as a House of Prayer Team Member, click here and fill out an application.

Q:  May I submit a request on behalf of someone else?

A:  Yes!  Provide as much information as you are able and feel comfortable.

Q:  I am uncomfortable giving my name and information, can I still submit a request?

A:  Yes!  You may either indicate on the form to have your name withheld from the prayer team or simply not put your name on the form.  There is also a place to request your name be placed in our bulletin's prayer list.  Our Lord is sovereign and knows what is on your heart.  Our team prays with confidence for you whether they know your name or not!

Q:  How long will the team pray for each request?

A:  Our team will pray for each of your requests for a period of two months.  If, at the end of that time, you wish for prayer to continue, please submit another request.
